Thank you for this post, Dr Chike-Obi. I am in a similar situation as you were — I just started with my computer science degree, but I am also interested in pursuing a career in medicine. While applying to medical school, did you get asked the question “why medicine, even though you majored in economics”? Also, did your undergraduate major impact your performance in the MD program?
